Hands down, one of the best seafood I've had in a while. So fresh. Their service was also amazing. There's only a bar top seating, and your whole party needs to be there since space is so limited. The workers takes their time talking to you about their food and gives recommendations. Not all their food is on the menu, so be sure to ask! I loved all the seafood we had. It's so fresh and or nicely seasoned. I typically don't like capers, but it worked with their dishes. Their scallops were smooth. Their oysters were cleaned nicely, no sand or grit.

have been wanting to try swan oyster forever and my dreams finally came true after waiting in line for 3 hours. bar seating was really cool since you got to see your food being prepped live, but be prepared to sit really close to the people next to you. kumamoto oysters, clam chowder, smoked salmon were faves but the sicilian sashimi was good too.

Had this place in my bookmarks for years and finally made it in! They have extended hours for certain days which made this possible. After waiting an hour an half outside, there was finally space at the counter for us! The service was prompt and constant. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The inside seems original which added to the experience. If you're craving oysters or seafood in general, definitely check this place out! We tried the clam chowder, octopus salad, mixed oysters, mixed cocktail, and smoked trout and salmon. They were out of crab this day so just means I need to make another trip!!

Excellent spot for delicious fresh raw seafood. Came here on a Saturday morning around 10:30 with two others and the line was already starting to get long- so expect to wait 20-30 min on the slow end. Also, the prices are definitely pretty high ($20 for 6 oysters). Because of those reason, this won't be a place I visit often. But I will visit again as the food itself is excellent. The clam chowder- nothing to write home about, but was warm, filling, and tasty The oyster- they had 4 different types so the three of us got a dozen oyster so we could try each. We each had favorites, but all 4 types were great. And I liked how they have a bunch of sauce/topping options to put on the oysters The Sicilian Sashimi- this a not so secret "secret" menu item that is a must-get. It's tuna, salmon, yellowtail, scallop, and one other I forgot. So fresh. So unique. So good. I'll definitely be back. Just wish it wasn't as expensive and the line wasn't as long. Oh, and it's cash only so come prepared

Everything went well albeit the wait.. which wasn't terrible long. The best and the freshest of seafood. The oysters, Sicilian sashimi, crab salad , sourdough bread and butter was exceptional. The staff is working non stop and efficiently. No wonder this place is iconic. There's a limited number of counter seating. It's a vintage place with a nice City vibe. Come for the ambiance, experience, and unforgettable seafood.

I had an incredible experience yesterday coming here for an early lunch with my brother. No line on Tuesday right before 10am. A small 5-6 person line started forming when we left around 11am. I waited in line before on a Saturday for three hours only to be turned away at the door since they close their seating at 2 pm sharp. While disappointed at the time, I knew what I signed up for so I couldn't be mad. Ended up ordering takeout. I was told yesterday that they extended their weekend hours (Fri/Sat) to 5pm. That's excellent news that could be a game changer, but I still expect a line so normal weekdays are best to relieve some stress in your visit. A happy clam is a tasty one. Love the old school no-frills counter vibe. Service is casual and friendly. One person takes care of you the whole time. Almost feels like an omakase experience. Our server Dom was very cool, attentive, and made sure we had a good time throughout our meal. Whole staff cracked some fun jokes here and there. Love the banter. Keeps things light and fun. Started off the meal with a light Pilsner ($7/ea) and a cup of chowder ($4/ea). I prefer a more creamy and thick chowder, but it's a nice opener to dunk your bread and butter into. Unfortunately, they didn't have any crab so I couldn't try their crab back and other crab dishes. Oysters were all delicious and fresh. Had the mixed dozen ($40) and my favorite was the Virginia Blue Point. The Sicilian sashimi ($50) was very tasty and a must-order. I had a large plate which had about six pieces of each fish: yellow tail, king salmon, tuna, scallops, and halibut. All topped with a drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon, capers, and freshly cracked black pepper. I liked adding a bit of salt and mignonette on the side. My favorite of the medley was the halibut. While it's not like a high-end level fish quality as a Japanese omakase place, it's very tasty and fresh. The smoked salmon ($35) was my very dish from here. Smoky, sweet, and sliced perfectly wide across pieces of bread served alongside a small shrimp salad. I was told this was smoked from a vendor in Bodega Bay because SF doesn't allow smokers in kitchens. I'd love to have it on a bagel one day. Shrimp salad had a good ol serving of Louie sauce on the side. Yummy if you love mayo. Overall, I'm a fan of this place and would happily return given the next opportunity. Incredible food, great staff, fun times all around. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other spots. Just don't expect an itemized receipt. Got a handwritten napkin and a little souvenir. Cash only. Aim for $100/pp as ballpark estimate. Plenty of street parking on Pine St when I went. Your results may vary. 2 hour meter limit 9am-6pm M-F Only docking a star for inaccessibility making planning and repeat visits a bit of a challenge. 4/5

Been wanting to try this SF staple for some time now and finally decided to take a day off on a Thursday and explore. I had read about the long lines and thought that Thursday I would have a better chance at not waiting in line for hours and thankfully I was correct. I arrived at 11am found street parking easily and made my way in and was sat within 5 minutes. At first glance this place is limited with seating but has an old school feel about it. The hustle and bustle of people ordering and the employees prepping and serving filled up this small establishment. It gave it a sudden old school charm. I came there solo but not once did I feel alone. My server was attentive and other servers came to check in as well and gave some great suggestions on what to order. I was sitting between two nice gentleman's that also gave me suggestions. I decided to order the salmon on bread, the combo cocktail, clam chowder and Sicilian sashimi. The salmon on bread was delicious. Those that know fresh seafood already know. The salmon was perfect. Combination cocktail was great and the portion was a good size. The clam chowder, let's just say I ordered a small cup wished I ordered a bowl :) last but not least the Sicilian sashimi perfection. Who knew that some olive oil could elevate the taste of raw fish like that!? Will I be back? Absolutely already planning to be there again this week or next! The food, service and old school feel are all the magic here. I love that your sitting in a long booth style area where you are so close to others you start talking and experiencing the food together. It's more than a meal it's an experience. They don't rush you, and they allow you the time to eat and enjoy it all. If your looking to be transported to a delicious seafood experience with an old school feel this place does not disappoint. Can't wait to head back for more delicious food!
